Featuring several next gen optimizations, the Extendo 944X telehandler is powered by a standard 74-horsepower engine and features tried-and-true Pettibone hydraulics
A standard feature for 2 years on the Cary-Lift, X-Command provides access to the real-time status of your Pettibone machine:
The Pettibone Traverse T1256X telehandler is a groundbreaking machine that redefines material handling with its industry-exclusive extendable, traversing boom. Designed for maximum versatility and precision, the 12k telehandler moves loads horizontally, allowing for unmatched efficiency and safety in construction, oil and gas, and utility applications. It operates smoothly over rough terrain, allowing the operator to remain in complete control throughout the job.
Powered by a 120-horsepower Deutz® TCD 3.6 Tier 4 Final diesel engine with DEF and SCR aftertreatment. Side pod mounting offers easy service access while allowing excellent curbside visibility and ground clearance.
Drivetrain and Dana 223 Series high steer axles have been optimized to provide greater tractive effort with minimal tradeoff on top end speed. Dana VDT12000 Series transmission offers 3-speed Powershift, forward and reverse. Tight steer angle capability provides efficient turning radius. The Traverse features full-time 4-wheel-drive with limited-slip front axle differential.
The 4-section boom features formed boom plates that enhance strength and reduce weight, minimizing deflection for better load control and placement accuracy. Increased boom overlap, fastener-less wear pads, and cylinder location ensure smooth operation and easy service. Bottom-mounted external extend cylinder reduces wear and improves access.
The Traverse provides up to 70 inches of horizontal boom transfer, the industry's only new machine with this capability. With Traverse, the specified lift height is the same as the landing height. This stands in contrast to a traditional fixed boom pivot, where the true landing height is generally several feet less than the advertised lift height, as operators must account for withdrawing the forks out of the load with enough rearward travel for the fork tips to clear the landing zone.
The T1256X has a capable 12,000-pound load capacity rating. It achieves forward reach up to 45 feet, 10 inches and a maximum lift height of 56 feet, 6 inches.
The Traverse’s hydraulic circuit delivers exceptional controllability, efficiency, and cycle speeds. Cylinder cushioning dampens the extending and retracting stroke ends to prevent hard, jarring stops and avoid both wear and tear and potential load spills. Twin lines are suitable for tilt and auxiliary plumbing.
The damage-resistant, all-steel fuel and hydraulic tanks provide ample fuel volume for a full day’s work at 100% load.
The open canopy or enclosed operator cab features ergonomic seat and controls, an all-steel, water-resistant interior for easy washdown, and a split door with a lockable open position upper half. It includes a new analog/LCD gauge cluster, enhanced climate control, easily removable/replaceable flat glass, an openable rear window for improved airflow, and lockable under-seat storage.
Split-system electrical panels ensure easier service of individual circuits and enhanced durability in addition to heavy-duty bright LED lighting and weather-sealed connections.
Easy access to filters, fluid level indicators, and the inside of the boom, along with a lockable fuel-fill and non-tensioned boom hoses, ensures convenient maintenance and long service life.
Axle-mounted outriggers come standard on the T1256X. The machine chassis will sway independent of the outrigger system. The outriggers are positioned to provide clear visibility out to the fork tips.
